I would just like to start off by saying that this is a rant. It should by no means be taken seriously, and any offense i may cause is unintentional.

Now, this is a thread where ppl can post about stuff they feel fit the title.

Here is a list of stuff i feel that way about and why.

Larry the Cable Guy - lets face it, he's not funny. He's just an ignorant racist hick. However, he has somehow become wildly popular, i'm still not sure why.

DDR - Ok ppl, its not dancing. If you want proof go to a serious dance club and do your routine from DDR and see how fast you get booed of the dance floor.

American Idol - This one i actually know why its popular, but it still shouldn't be. Its popular because of two reasons, ppl feel like that maybe they can go on this show and live out their dream of being a pop superstar, and the reason is they like seing ppl get insulted by Simon.

The song 'Grillz' by Nelly (and in fact every song by nelly) - this song consists of about 2 phrases "Lemme see your grillz" and "you wanna see my what?" oh, and shall we not forget "how much did you pay?". I swear every time that song is played a baby dies somewhere.

99% of the crap of MTV, and any radios staion that claims to play "the most popular music". pretty much every pop-station's play list has about 9 songs on it at any one time that they cycle through and at least 8 of them are crap.

I could go on, but its late and i'm other ppl will have stuff to contribute to this.

Never underestimate the influential power of a few pop-culture people (ppl who have no individualality and do eveything MTV tells them to)

I agree MTV has really gone shit now with it all its shows and stuff.

Chuck Norris- Back when I was playing WoW the barrens chat was my worst enemy. Cmon I remeber Chuck Norris BEFORE all these random facts came up and he was a REjected actor with scrappy shows...... Texas walker Ranger back in its day was good with all the fights n stuff.... now its just crap....

nascar-now come on now why is this so popular they only have like 2 tracks that they are not constantlly making a left turn wow how hard is that. so they do it going over 100 miles an hour big deal who out there has never tried doing this in a regular car lol.

barry bonds-there is no way to go from the size he was to the size he is now im tired of hearing about him.

now what really annoys me... hmm...

The Government - You think the government in my country would have ressolved crime with guns, knives and gangs... b-------! What has happened is that we have a degenerated country with the fakest of promises happening (going to war *coughs*) and the most problematic problems NOT being sorted out. EVER. Now if you're sending most of us to a different country, you've just done it!

Most ITV shows - Now I used to like ITV with their original programs and soaps. But now the only tactic for ALL programs is "Win in a game show, watch 95 repeats a week (Including movies) and see people moan and whinge about losing"... wtf!? BBC sometimes does that but it seems that most of my TV schedule is primarily on BBC, Channel 4... and my GameCube!

People's intelligence in general - OK, now for my ultimate rant... if you people are easily offended, look at the off-topic thread or someplace else.

Recently, the range of people's minds is to "kill, rape or blow themselves up s---less" ...whatever! It's BORING!! I'm surprised that you lot have passed your driving test or even got a job, but even you're language is pathetic! Say things like "Chav" or "bovvered"... It's NOT ENGLISH!!!

If you want to go stabbing people or blowing yourselves up, go to Iraq, and make most of us rest in peace. That INCLUDES you "Rights campaigners", "Bible Bashers" and people who are thick in general!! Just... GO!!!

I just thought of another one,

Avril Lavign-She's not "punk" she's not "real", and she is by no means talented, and yet somehow her popularity has spread like wild-fire. As far as she (or anyone like her) goes i think ppl need to step back, actually listen to her music and see how crappy it is, and finally get their own identidy.

Never underestimate the power of stupid ppl in large groups....... or is it large ppl in stupid group....... hmm... at any rate dont underestimate thier power.

And for Omega, i got some of that, but i think they have sayings and stuff in the UK that i'm un-awear of, or maybe u just spell really bad =P. But it seems u have some valad points.

I'm going to have to add my vote for that "Grillz" song. Has totally replace "Bananaphone" as most annoying song ever. And what's more, I just bought a new grill (BBQ) and I can't even mention it near my wife without her breaking into the damn song.

And is it really spelled with a Z? I didn't know that...but should have known...that totally makes my teeth curl. So there's another:

Any plural word that has had the 's' replaced with a 'z', in an attempt to make it "street". I'ma go pop ma zitz.

i'm gonna add my vote to American idol and larry the cable guy i cant stand either of them i wanna punch American idol in the head but the thing that i cant stand the most is when people think there punk or whatever they think when the dont do the mainstream thing like anyone gives a damn if u dont do it or do it ugh

Nascar actually gets big crowds which is funny cause you can watch one lap and tape it and watch it 300times cause the lead never changes
